It has been my incredible honor to watch my husband be Lucy’s father these last nine months. He is so gentle and loving to her, and really is just such a wonderful daddy. For his Father’s Day gift, I stole an idea I heard from a bunch of people on a message board I frequent– I went to a craft store, bought a letter “D” and a letter “A”, chose my three favorites and put them in a 3 opening frame for Scott… the finished product:

Along the way to the above, I took what I thought were some pretty cute pictures that I thought I would share. The first batch of pictures was from my first try– I took pictures of Lucy sitting on the floor in our apartment. after taking the pics (and getting some pretty cute ones!), I realized that unless I put our camera on a tripod (which I don’t have), the baseboard in the background wouldn’t be straight, and the pictures would look weird. So I then proceeded to go outside to get the above. Anyway, here are the pics:

This one didn’t make the cut, but I love it:

Lucy loves clapping- I was happy to get it in a picture!

These are just the cutest photos. What a great idea for Scott.

Absolutely adorable. What a wonderful idea for Father’s Day!!!
Hi Dorothy – I hope you don’t mind but Levonne shared your blog address with me. She was bragging to me about your adorable father’s day photo shoot and I had to see for myself. What a great idea. I’m sure he loved it. Lucy is just so completely adorable! She looks SO much like you. It sounds like everything with you is wonderful – I’m so happy for you.
Hugs,
Johanna
I don’t mind at all, Johanna!!! It’s so wonderful to hear from you, and thank you so much for the compliments. I’m no where near as creative as you (I remember your scrapbooking!), but I am really happy with how it turned out. Grady is such a joy at our family gatherings- such an amazingly smart, well behaved, sweet little guy. I can only hope my Lucy turns out so well!!! Congratulations on your newest little one, too!!!
